Celanese: What's the deal with the recent reorganization?

Anyone else feel like this latest reorganization at Celanese is more than just a shuffle? It feels like they're consolidating roles and responsibilities in a way that could easily lead to redundancies down the line. I'm in [mention a general department, e.g., R&D/Operations/Sales] and we've had several meetings about 'synergies' and 'streamlining processes.' Sounds like corporate speak for cutting headcount to me. Are others seeing this in their areas? Is this just the start of something bigger, or is it a standard business move? Curious to hear what others think, especially those who have been through similar reorganizations at other companies. Trying to gauge the long-term impact here.

Yeah, I'm in Operations and it definitely feels like the same song and dance. We're being told it's about efficiency, but the underlying message is clear: do more with less. It's unsettling to see the constant 'realignments' without a concrete explanation of what it actually means for job security. Hoping it's not as drastic as it feels, but the talk of 'optimized structures' is making everyone nervous.

I'm on the sales side and while we haven't seen direct role eliminations yet, the 'streamlining' means a lot more reporting and fewer resources to actually hit targets. It feels like management is trying to squeeze blood from a stone. This constant restructuring creates uncertainty and frankly, it's impacting morale. Hard to stay motivated when you're constantly worried about what the next 'synergy' initiative will bring.
