Been with Celanese for a few years now, and honestly, compensation feels like it's always been a bit behind the curve compared to what I see advertised elsewhere. Raises have been modest, definitely not enough to feel like I'm getting ahead of inflation, let alone the market rate for my skills. It's enough to keep me here, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on other opportunities if things don't pick up.
My experience has been similar. While Celanese is a stable company, the comp adjustments seem to be more about maintaining the status quo than truly rewarding performance or keeping pace with industry trends. Bonus payouts have been okay, but not spectacular, and salary increases feel more like a token gesture than a reflection of market value. It's a decent place to work, but don't expect to get rich quickly here.
