Cencora - Is the hiring freeze for real, or just a tactic?

Anyone else feel like Cencora has slammed the brakes on external hiring? I know a few roles that have been open for months, and they're not even interviewing externally anymore. It's gone from a 'slow down' to a near-complete standstill. My manager vaguely mentioned 'strategic resource allocation' when I asked about a new position we desperately need filled. Sounds like corporate speak for 'don't expect anyone new anytime soon.' It's making it really tough to keep up with the workload, and frankly, it's creating a bit of anxiety. Is this a company-wide thing, or are certain departments being hit harder? Are they waiting for a specific financial quarter or outcome before re-opening the doors? Or is this a precursor to something bigger? It feels like a significant change from how things were just last year. Just want to understand the situation better.
