It is getting ridiculous at this point. Every time they talk about 'optimizing the footprint,' we all know it is just code for gutting the workforce to keep the stock price floating for a few more quarters. The leadership team seems completely detached from the reality on the ground, acting like these are just numbers on a spreadsheet rather than actual people’s livelihoods. I have been through three rounds of these 'efficiencies' now, and the morale in the office is effectively non-existent. At this stage, it feels like the only safe place is the exit door.
I have been tracking these filings for a while now, and the pattern is depressingly predictable. They cycle through different regions every few months to avoid bigger headlines, but the cumulative impact on the company culture is devastating. The constant uncertainty makes it impossible to plan any real long-term projects because you never know if your team will even exist by the end of the year. If you are currently in one of the targeted offices, start polishing that resume immediately; this management team clearly doesn't value loyalty or institutional knowledge.
