Anyone else seeing shifts in team priorities at CenterPoint?

Hey all, been with CenterPoint for a few years now and things have felt a bit… off lately. Not sure if it's just my department or a wider thing, but it feels like project scopes are constantly changing, and priorities are shifting on a dime. We used to have these multi-year roadmaps, and now it feels like we're just reacting day-to-day. Management talks about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining,' but it's hard to tell what that actually means in practice. Does anyone else have a similar experience? Is this just the nature of the industry now, or is there something specific going on at CenterPoint that I'm missing? Just trying to get a sense of the general mood and if this is a common feeling. Curious to hear what others are seeing.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that. It's like the goalposts keep moving, which makes it tough to feel like you're making real progress on anything substantial. The lack of clear, long-term direction is pretty demotivating. It’s hard to plan and execute effectively when the rug feels like it's constantly being pulled out from under you. Makes you wonder what the actual strategic focus is, if any.

Completely understand where you're coming from. The constant flux is exhausting. It's not just about efficiency; it's about sustainable progress. When priorities change weekly, it impacts morale and makes it difficult to build momentum. I'm hoping for more stability soon, but it's been a consistent pattern for a while now.
