Anyone else tired of the 'operational excellence' talk?

I’m honestly at my breaking point with the town halls. Leadership gets on the call, throws up a few slides about 'strategic realignment,' and acts like we don't know exactly what's happening. They keep slashing headcount in these specific regions like Miami and NorCal, then have the audacity to send out emails about 'working as one team' and 'driving value for shareholders.' It’s hard to focus on a single ticket or project when you’re constantly wondering if you’ll be on the next WARN notice list. My manager is checked out, my team is half the size it was last year, and the workload is just piling up for the rest of us left behind. Is there even a light at the end of the tunnel here, or is this just going to be the status quo until we’re all replaced by contractors or automated systems? I’m already dusting off the resume, but the job market in the sector feels just as volatile.

The dissonance between the corporate emails about 'synergy' and the reality on the ground is getting impossible to ignore. I spent all morning prepping for a project that might not even exist by Friday because of the latest restructuring rumors. It’s draining to put effort into systems and workflows when the leadership treats the workforce like interchangeable line items. At this point, the town halls are just a ritual of empty buzzwords while everyone is secretly checking the internal job board or their inbox for termination alerts. The silence from management about the actual future of these regions is deafening.

Stop waiting for them to be honest. These strategic realignment plans are always about trimming the fat before the quarterly reports, regardless of the 'one team' nonsense they preach. I’ve seen enough of these cycles to know that if they are already holding town halls to pump up morale, the next round of layoffs is likely already finalized. Just do your job, keep your head down, and keep your resume updated in the background. Don't let their performative operational excellence talk gaslight you into thinking your loyalty matters more than the share price.
