Are these rolling shutdowns or a slow bleed?

Is it just me, or does it feel like leadership is just throwing darts at a map of WARN filings to see where to cut next? We had the California offices hit on the 28th and now Miami is getting gutted too. It’s hard to focus on actual projects when every time I refresh the internal portal, I’m waiting for another wave of bad news. The messaging from the top is completely tone-deaf—talking about 'long-term value' while people are being handed boxes on a Friday. Does anyone actually think we've seen the end of it? I have a feeling they’re just going to keep slicing small departments until the end of the year to keep the headcount optics manageable. If you’re at one of the smaller regional sites, I’d suggest keeping your LinkedIn status set to hidden and your files backed up off-server. This place has turned into a total shell of what it was two years ago.

It is definitely a slow bleed, and at this point, it feels like they are just trimming the fat until there is nothing left but the skeleton. The disconnect between the corporate cheerleading about 'strategic growth' and the reality of seeing coworkers packed up is infuriating. Everyone is just waiting for the other shoe to drop, and honestly, the uncertainty is worse than the actual cuts. Hard to keep morale up when management acts like these moves are just numbers on a spreadsheet instead of real people's livelihoods.

At this rate, I’m not sure there will be an office left to work in by the end of the quarter. The 'long-term value' talk is just PR spin to keep investors happy while the core operations are being cannibalized. I’ve stopped refreshing the portal because it’s just soul-crushing at this point. If leadership had any real plan, we wouldn't be seeing this chaotic, piecemeal approach to downsizing. It is clearly all hands on deck for damage control, and the rest of us are just left in the dark.
