Hey everyone, curious to hear what the general sentiment is at CenterPoint lately. Haven't seen any official announcements or even solid rumors about layoffs, but things just feel a bit... tense, maybe? Morale seems a little lower than usual, and I've noticed a few more 'efficiency' meetings popping up. Just wondering if others are picking up on anything similar. Are budgets being squeezed? Are projects being put on hold? Or is it just the usual end-of-year jitters and maybe some normal business shifts? Trying to gauge the temperature without causing undue panic, but also want to be prepared if there's something brewing. Any insights from different departments would be appreciated.

I've definitely noticed the increased focus on 'efficiency' too. It feels like there's a constant undercurrent of needing to do more with less. Budgets do seem tighter, and some of the smaller, less critical projects are definitely getting pushed back or even shelved. It's not outright panic, but there's a definite sense that we need to be more judicious with our resources and time. I'm hoping it's just a temporary phase and not a sign of deeper issues.

Yeah, the vibe has felt a bit off. More meetings, less definitive answers on some initiatives. It's hard to say if it's belt-tightening or just the natural ebb and flow of a large organization, but the perception is definitely there. People are talking, and while there haven't been any major red flags, the quiet anxiety is palpable. Let's hope it blows over soon and things stabilize without major disruptions.
