Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else is picking up on the same vibes I am at CenterPoint. Been hearing some chatter around the water cooler, and it's not about Q3 earnings. Seems like new requisitions are drying up, and some internal transfers are being put on hold. I'm in [Department Name, e.g., Operations/IT/Finance] and we haven't gotten any official word, but the general sense is that things are slowing down. Has anyone else noticed this? Are teams being told to hold off on backfills? Trying to get a read on whether this is a temporary slowdown or something more significant. It's making me a bit uneasy about future growth and stability. Curious to hear if anyone has more concrete information or has experienced something similar in other departments.

I've definitely noticed a slowdown in my department as well, and we're in [Another Department Name]. While there's no official announcement, it feels like a general tightening of belts. Hiring requests that would normally be approved quickly are suddenly taking much longer, and some projects are seeing reduced budgets. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, and people are starting to get a little nervous about future opportunities and stability. Hopefully, it's just a temporary phase.
