Another round in Rantoul, what does this mean for the rest of us?

Just saw the WARN notice for the Rantoul site—75 people out the door as of yesterday. I know it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the massive cuts last year, but it feels like the 'efficiency' target keeps moving. Every time we think the dust has settled and the restructuring is 'done,' another office gets hit or a team gets consolidated. Does anyone have visibility on whether this is the tail end of the original plan, or are they just picking off smaller sites one by one now to keep the headcount reduction metrics trending downward for the shareholders? It’s exhausting trying to focus on day-to-day deliverables when you’re constantly wondering if your department is next on the chopping block. Management keeps talking about 'operational synergy' but it just feels like we’re running on a skeleton crew while the tech stack continues to be a total mess. If you’re in one of these smaller regional offices, are you guys hearing anything from leadership, or are you just as in the dark as we are?

It honestly feels like death by a thousand cuts at this point. I remember when leadership swore that the big restructuring phase was finished, but the trickle of WARN notices just proves that nobody actually knows the roadmap. They’ll keep shaving off small offices under the guise of 'optimization' as long as the market doesn't punish them for it. Don’t expect transparency or a clear finish line—just keep your resume updated and assume your department is next on the chopping block until proven otherwise. It’s a cynical way to manage, but that's the corporate reality here now.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an end to these adjustments. Management is clearly committed to this 'efficiency' narrative, which is just code for continuous downsizing to inflate margins. Whether it’s Rantoul today or another regional office next month, the strategy remains the same: consolidate, cut, and hope the remaining staff can pick up the slack without complaining. It’s exhausting watching it happen in waves, but this is the new normal. If you're looking for stability, you're looking in the wrong place. The target will keep moving as long as the spreadsheets demand it.
