Hey everyone, saw the news about Schwab letting go of another 63 people on May 31st. This is getting to be a regular thing, isn't it? Feels like every few months there's another round. I'm not directly affected this time, but it's hard not to feel anxious. Anyone know what departments or roles were hit the hardest? Is this a sign of deeper issues, or just standard 'efficiency' measures they trot out? Trying to understand the pattern here. Feels like the company is constantly restructuring. Curious to hear from anyone on the inside or who has insights into what's driving this. Is it tech consolidation, performance issues, or something else entirely? #Schwab #Layoffs #FinancialServices

It's definitely concerning to see these layoffs becoming so frequent. While companies often cite efficiency, when it happens repeatedly, it raises questions about the underlying business strategy or market pressures. Without inside knowledge, it's hard to say definitively, but the pattern suggests more than just minor adjustments. Hopefully, those affected land on their feet quickly. It does make you wonder about the long-term stability and direction for remaining employees, though.
