Chevron - Anyone else bracing for impact? What's the word on the street?

Just saw some articles and chatter online about potential layoffs in the energy sector, and naturally, my mind goes straight to Chevron. I haven't seen or heard anything official from management, but the rumor mill is buzzing louder than usual. I've been keeping an ear out, but it's all very cloak-and-dagger. Some people are talking about 'efficiency drives' and 'strategic realignments,' which sounds like corporate speak for 'people are going to lose their jobs.' I'm in a critical role, but even then, you never feel completely secure when the broader industry is this volatile. Anyone have any more direct information or gut feelings about what's happening?
