While we haven't had any official announcements about layoffs, I've been hearing from contacts in different departments that things are... uneasy. Some roles seem to be frozen, and there's been a noticeable slowdown in hiring for certain positions. I've definitely felt a shift in my area too. We haven't had outright layoffs, but the increased scrutiny on budgets and a freeze on non-essential travel definitely makes you wonder. People are being more cautious with spending and project approvals seem to be taking longer. It's creating a bit of an anxious atmosphere where everyone's just trying to keep their heads down and prove their value.
