Anyone else noticing the shift in store-level labor hours?

Is it just my region, or are we being squeezed harder than ever? Lately, it feels like the expectation is to run a shift with the bare minimum skeleton crew regardless of the actual volume coming through the doors. I’ve been looking at the labor reports and the targets are getting tighter every single week. It’s starting to feel like corporate is testing how far they can push us before something breaks. The stress levels during peak are insane because there just aren't enough hands to keep the line moving and the DML clear simultaneously. Has anyone heard rumblings about further overhead cuts or shifts in staffing strategy? It feels like we are constantly being asked to do the work of two people for the same pay. I’m starting to wonder if this is just standard tightening of the belt or if leadership is gearing up for a larger restructuring in the coming quarters.

It is definitely happening everywhere, not just your region. I have been at my location for two years, and the labor targets have become completely disconnected from the actual reality of the line during peak hours. We are constantly told to maintain high throughput and perfect cleanliness while the skeleton crew struggles to even keep the chips full. It feels like they are prioritizing short-term margins over the sanity of the staff. Eventually, the turnover is going to cost them more than just paying for a few extra hours on the schedule.

Honestly, I’m just waiting for the day the wheels finally fall off. Every week the labor matrix gets tighter, but the digital orders keep piling up right alongside the lobby line. Management acts like we’re superhuman, expecting us to prep, clean, and manage the front end with two people during a rush. It is exhausting to show up knowing you are set up to fail before the shift even begins. At this point, the morale is at an all-time low because we know corporate doesn't actually care about the daily grind.
