Chipotle - Feeling the pinch with limited equipment upgrades

Wondering if anyone else feels like Chipotle has seriously slowed down on equipment and store upgrades? My store is running on some seriously ancient tech - the POS systems are slow, the drink machines are constantly acting up, and don't even get me started on the old ovens. We've put in requests for replacements, but it feels like we're just getting the runaround. Corporate keeps talking about innovation and new menu items, but the basic infrastructure feels neglected. It's making operations clunky and inefficient, and honestly, it's frustrating for the crew who are trying to get food out quickly. Feels like they're spending money elsewhere, and the front-line stores are paying the price. Is this just my location, or is it a company-wide thing? Feels like we're not getting the support we need to run things smoothly.

I totally get what you're saying. It feels like the focus is always on the next marketing campaign or a new bowl creation, but the day-to-day tools we rely on are falling apart. Slow POS systems and unreliable equipment aren't just annoying; they directly impact efficiency and customer experience. It's frustrating when you see the potential for improvement but are stuck with outdated gear. Hopefully, corporate will see that investing in the core operations is just as important as rolling out new LTOs or whatever they're pushing this quarter.
