Chubb - Anyone else feeling the pressure to do more with less?

Just wanted to see if I'm alone on this. Over the past quarter, it feels like the workload has significantly increased across the board, but the resources haven't followed. My manager keeps talking about 'strategic imperatives' and 'driving value', but meanwhile, we're all stretched thinner than ever. It's not just me; I've overheard colleagues in other departments complaining about the same thing. No official layoff talk, but the constant push to 'optimize' and 'be more productive' without any added support makes me wonder about the long-term plan. Is this just the new normal in insurance, or is Chubb signaling something more significant? Feels like a prelude to something, and not necessarily a positive one.

Definitely feeling this. The 'do more with less' mantra is in full swing here. Lots of talk about efficiency and innovation, which sounds great in theory, but in practice it just means we're all scrambling to keep up with the same old tasks plus new ones. It's frustrating when the expectations don't match the reality of our capacity. Hoping things ease up, but it feels like this is the new normal.

You're not alone at all. The pressure is palpable. It feels like every project requires more bandwidth than we have, and 'optimization' seems to translate to 'work harder without additional support'. It's creating a lot of stress and burnout potential. Wish there was more transparency about how these expectations are being set and what the long-term plan is for staffing.
