Chubb - Feels like a hiring freeze is in effect

I've been trying to get a couple of open roles on my team filled for months now. We've interviewed a good number of candidates, but every time we get close to an offer, it gets 'paused' or 'delayed indefinitely' by HR/upper management. It's not just my team; I've heard from friends in other divisions that similar things are happening. New requisitions are being scrutinized heavily, and some that were approved are suddenly on hold. It's making project planning a nightmare and the workload for existing staff is piling up. Anyone else experiencing this across Chubb? Is this a precursor to something bigger, or just a temporary budget tightening? Wondering if anyone has insight into the official stance or if this is just an unannounced hiring freeze.

Definitely seeing this too. It's incredibly frustrating when you're trying to build out a team and keep hitting roadblocks. The constant delays make it hard to gain momentum on projects, and it puts a lot of strain on the existing staff who have to pick up the slack. Hoping things thaw out soon, but it's tough to be optimistic right now with how things are moving.

Yeah, the 'pause' is real. It's not just you. Heard similar stories from folks in other departments. Makes you wonder what the broader strategy is if they're putting the brakes on hiring so hard.
