C&D - What's Happening with Team Structures?

Been hearing whispers about some restructuring happening at Church & Dwight, specifically around how certain teams are being organized. It's not explicit layoffs, but more like shifting responsibilities and maybe combining roles. Feels like management is trying to do more with less, which is a classic precursor to headcount reduction if things don't pick up. Anyone else seeing their team's scope change dramatically or notice colleagues being absorbed into other functions? It’s making planning and goal setting pretty challenging when you don’t know what your team will even look like in a few months. Curious if this is company-wide or isolated to certain divisions like marketing or R&D. Trying to make sense of the signals before things become more concrete. Would appreciate any intel from others navigating similar changes.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed some of that. It's the 'efficiency' play, right? Suddenly roles that seemed distinct are blurring, and people are being asked to wear multiple hats. My team's project load hasn't decreased, but the headcount certainly feels tighter. It's creating a bit of a scramble to keep everything moving, and honestly, the lack of clear communication about the 'why' is unsettling. Makes you wonder about the long-term plan here.

Interesting you bring this up. We've seen something similar, where responsibilities are being consolidated. It feels like a strategic move to streamline processes, but the execution has been a bit chaotic. Some folks are overloaded while others seem to have less defined roles now. It's definitely a shift from how things used to operate, and the ripple effects are being felt across departments. Curious to see if this leads to any actual structural changes down the line.
