Corporate culture shifting after the Jan cuts?

Is it just me, or does the vibe in the office feel completely different since the news dropped on the 31st? I’ve noticed a lot of the 'open door' policy talk has basically vanished. The emails from leadership feel like they were written by an algorithm—total corporate speak without addressing the actual anxiety everyone is feeling right now. I'm curious if other departments are seeing the same 'quiet quitting' energy. Projects are moving slower, people are barely speaking in meetings, and half the calendar invites I get are just people venting about their long-term prospects here. I really liked working for C&D, but it’s becoming harder to ignore the writing on the wall. Are people actually sticking around to see if things stabilize, or is everyone already polishing up their LinkedIn profiles? I’m starting to think the latter is the only smart move right now. If you're planning on staying, what’s your exit strategy if things get worse?

It’s definitely not just you. The mood has been suffocating since the 31st. I’ve noticed the same thing in my department—people are just doing the bare minimum to stay under the radar because nobody trusts the 'open door' rhetoric anymore. Leadership is doubling down on generic messaging while the actual workload remains high, which is clearly fueling this widespread burnout and detachment. The transparency we were promised is nowhere to be found, and the office silence is deafening lately. It feels like everyone is just waiting for the next shoe to drop.
