Is leadership planning more cuts outside of Lancaster?

It’s been a rough 24 hours knowing what happened to our colleagues in PA. I’m currently at a different site, but morale is in the basement. We keep hearing that Church & Dwight is still 'optimizing,' which is corporate-speak for 'we aren't done yet.' Does anyone know if the headcount reduction is strictly tied to the Lancaster facility, or are there murmurs about G&A roles getting hit next? Management is doing the usual 'business as usual' routine, but the lack of direct communication is doing more damage than the rumors themselves. If you have any intel on potential Q2 impact or if hiring freezes are being extended to other departments, please sound off. I just want to know if I need to start polishing the resume this weekend or if we have a little more runway.

Leadership is playing the typical game where they stay silent until the last possible second. Don't buy the 'business as usual' talk for a second. If you look at the recent patterns across the sector, these optimizations rarely stop at the manufacturing floor. They usually follow up with a 'restructuring' of back-office and G&A functions within a quarter or two. Keep your resume polished and start networking outside the company immediately. If you have to ask if your role is safe, you already know the answer. It is better to be prepared than caught off guard when the next round of invites starts hitting calendars.
