Severance packages after the March 18th news

For those affected by the recent 63-person cut in Lancaster, has anyone seen the actual severance details yet? I’ve heard rumors that the package isn't as generous as it was during the last round of downsizing. I’m currently sweating it out in a mid-level role, trying to figure out if I should start burning vacation days to interview elsewhere or if I should stick it out to see if I’m 'safe' through the next quarter. The transparency here has been non-existent, and being left in the dark while colleagues are walked out is exhausting. If you were impacted, did they give you any real outplacement services or is it just the bare minimum? Stay strong, everyone. This company used to feel like a safe harbor, but that reputation is completely gone.

I was impacted by the last round and honestly, the rumors about the current package being stingier don't surprise me. The company has been tightening the belt for a while now, and communication from leadership has become noticeably colder. If you're feeling uneasy, I would strongly suggest updating your resume and testing the market now. Don't wait for a formal announcement to start looking, because when they finally disclose the details, it’s usually too late to be proactive. Protect your own interests while you still have the paycheck.

It is frustrating to be kept in the dark while everyone is speculating on the future of the Lancaster site. I’ve seen this pattern before, and usually, the 'transparency' they promise is just a filtered version of the truth to keep people from jumping ship too early. If your gut is telling you to look elsewhere, listen to it. Staying just to see if you are 'safe' often leads to burnout and unnecessary stress. Take your vacation days, get your interviews lined up, and make sure you have an exit plan regardless of how the severance package eventually shapes up.
