Saw the WARN notice for the Morris Plains office drop today. 62 heads gone as of the 15th. I'm in the Morris Plains office and can confirm it feels like a ghost town today. The energy is completely drained, and management is refusing to provide any specifics on the broader restructuring. Most of the cuts seemed to hit the claims processing and data analytics teams, but it’s hard to tell for sure since nobody is talking. Keep your head down and start backing up your work files to a personal drive if you haven't already. If they are doing this now, there is definitely more coming down the pipeline before the quarter ends.

I was through a similar layoff at Cigna a few years back and the best advice I can give is to stop waiting for internal comms to tell you the truth. They won't. Reach out to your contacts in other departments to see if they're still around, and definitely start updating your resume this weekend. It’s a ruthless environment right now, so focus on yourself and your next move instead of trying to read the tea leaves from leadership.
