Absolutely. It's not just you. My department's been feeling it too. Even routine client meetings require justification that feels more intense than before. We're constantly being pushed to find the absolute rock-bottom deals, which frankly, sometimes eats up more time than the savings are worth. Makes you wonder if it's a company-wide directive or specific to certain divisions. It's definitely impacting how efficiently we can operate and engage with clients.
Yeah, the budget squeeze is real. I've seen a lot more 'can you do this virtually instead?' or 'is this trip truly essential?' lately. It's understandable to be prudent, but sometimes it feels like they're sacrificing opportunities for the sake of shaving a few dollars off the bottom line. Hopefully, this is a temporary measure and not a permanent shift in how we're expected to manage resources.
