I've definitely noticed a shift too. It feels like management is really pushing internal movement, maybe to fill gaps without the cost or time of external hiring. While it's good for some to get new opportunities, it does make you wonder if they're overlooking potentially better external candidates or if there's a broader hiring freeze happening that they aren't communicating clearly. It's a strange time for sure.
Yeah, that internal transfer push is real. My department just had someone move over from another team who wasn't quite the fit they needed, and now we're back to square one. It makes you question the strategy – are they trying to save money, or is there a bigger concern about the talent pool they're attracting right now? Either way, it's impacting team dynamics and slowing things down.
