Cintas: Anyone else's department seeing budget cuts for training/development?

Hey everyone, Been at Cintas for a few years now, and lately, I've noticed a distinct shift. My department, which usually has a decent budget for professional development, training courses, and attending industry conferences, has suddenly had all those funds frozen. We were told it's a 'temporary reallocation of resources' but it feels like more than that. A lot of us were looking forward to some specific certifications and workshops this year. Now, it's radio silence on when, or if, those funds will be reinstated. It's making it hard to stay motivated and keep skills sharp. Anyone else in a similar boat or hearing anything about broader budget constraints impacting growth opportunities?

Yeah, I've heard rumblings about budget tightening across the board. It’s disappointing to see training budgets get hit first, as that's often where you see the biggest return on investment long-term. It's a shame for everyone looking to upskill or get those certifications. Hopefully, they'll reconsider once things stabilize. In the meantime, maybe check if there are any free webinars or online resources available that could offer some value, even if it's not the same as attending an in-person event.
