Are internal mobility opportunities drying up at Citi?

I've been looking to move internally within Citi for a while now, but it feels like the available roles are scarce or getting snapped up incredibly quickly. Usually, there are always plenty of opportunities, but lately, it feels like a desert. Some of the postings I *do* see have extremely specific, almost impossible-to-meet requirements. It makes me wonder if hiring internally is being deprioritized in favor of external hires, or if there are simply fewer roles being backfilled. With the current economic uncertainty, I was hoping internal moves would be a safer bet than looking elsewhere, but it's proving to be a challenge. Anyone else experiencing difficulty finding internal roles or seeing fewer internal transfers happening?
