Okay, this is purely anecdotal and I haven't seen anything official, but I've heard some chatter from folks in different divisions about a de facto hiring freeze. Like, requisitions are getting stalled, and even for critical roles, approvals are taking forever or getting shot down. It feels like they're really watching headcount very closely right now. I know banks go through cycles, but this feels a bit more pronounced than the usual 'careful with hiring' talk. Has anyone else heard this, or experienced delays in getting new people onboarded? Trying to figure out if it's just specific teams or a wider internal sentiment. Don't want to cause panic, just gathering intel.
