Morale tanking - feels like we're walking on eggshells

Hey everyone, just wanted to vent/see if anyone else is feeling this. The general vibe around Citi has been... off lately. It's not just one thing, but a collection of little things. People are quieter in meetings, there's less joking around, and everyone seems hyper-focused on their tasks, almost to the point of being withdrawn. I've noticed a lot more 'water cooler' whispers that stop abruptly when someone walks by. It feels like there's an underlying tension, like we're all waiting for something to happen. Management buzzwords are flying around, but they feel pretty hollow and don't really address the palpable unease. Is it just me, or is this a common feeling across different departments right now?

Yeah, I've been feeling that too. It's like the pressure's on, and nobody wants to rock the boat. Conversations feel more guarded, and even casual interactions seem to have a different energy. It's a strange atmosphere, and I'm hoping it blows over soon. It definitely makes coming into the office feel a bit heavier than it used to.

Totally get what you're saying. The vibe shift is noticeable. It feels like there's a general sense of caution permeating everything, which stifles the creativity and collaboration we used to have. Trying to stay positive, but it's tough when the overall mood is so subdued. Hopefully, management recognizes this and addresses it.
