Anyone else feeling the squeeze at Cloudflare post-layoffs?

Just saw the news about the 1100 folks let go. It's a weird vibe in the office now, even with the smaller headcount. Lots of people are definitely on edge, wondering if they're next. We're supposed to be more productive with fewer people, right? But honestly, it feels like the remaining folks are just picking up the slack, and the pressure is immense. There's been a lot of talk about the company citing 'efficiency' and 'future focus,' but when you see that many people gone, it's hard not to feel like your own job is precarious. Anyone else at Cloudflare feeling this kind of anxiety? Are teams consolidating work? How is this impacting your day-to-day, and what's the general sentiment you're picking up from your colleagues? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide panic or just my department feeling the heat.

It's completely understandable why there's a 'weird vibe.' Layoffs, no matter the stated reasons, create deep uncertainty. It's a tough situation for everyone remaining when workload increases without a corresponding increase in resources or support. The pressure to maintain or exceed previous output with fewer hands is a huge burden. Hoping things settle down for you and your colleagues soon.

That must be an incredibly stressful environment to navigate. The disconnect between management's talk of 'efficiency' and the lived reality of increased workload for remaining staff is a common theme after such significant cuts. It's natural to feel anxious when you see so many colleagues impacted. Keep an eye on your own well-being during this challenging period.
