They said 'obsolete workers' due to AI? That's a slap in the face.

Reading that snippet about leadership saying certain workers are now 'obsolete' because of new tech… wow. Just wow. If the company is genuinely more productive and efficient thanks to these advancements, why is the solution to cut 1100 people? It feels like a convenient excuse to trim the fat, or maybe just get rid of more experienced, higher-paid folks. We're all working hard, and to hear that our roles can just be made 'obsolete' by some algorithm is incredibly disheartening and frankly, insulting. This narrative makes the layoffs feel less about necessary restructuring and more about cost-cutting disguised as progress. Has anyone else felt this sting, like their years of experience are suddenly worthless?

This whole 'obsolete' narrative feels incredibly disingenuous. Innovation is great, but it shouldn't automatically mean people are disposable. It's disheartening to see hard work and experience seemingly devalued in favor of rapid tech adoption. There has to be a better way to integrate new tools without resorting to mass layoffs.

It's a tough pill to swallow when you hear that your contributions could be deemed 'obsolete' by new technology. While advancements can bring efficiency, it’s crucial to remember the human element. Layoffs of this scale, justified by tech, can breed resentment and a lack of trust within the remaining workforce.
