What's the actual timeline for affected employees regarding benefits and final paychecks?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to gather some concrete info for those of us who were impacted by the recent 1100 layoffs. The official comms were a bit vague, and I'm hearing conflicting things from different people. Can anyone who was laid off share details about when your benefits (health insurance, etc.) officially end? Also, what's the typical timeframe for receiving your final paycheck and any accrued vacation payout? I'm in California, so I know there are specific state laws, but I'm curious about company policy in general. It would be really helpful to get a clearer picture so people can plan accordingly. Anything concrete you can share about severance packages, if offered, would also be valuable. Trying to stay organized and understand the next steps.

For what it's worth, I was in a similar situation during a past company downsizing. My final paycheck, which included accrued vacation, arrived within a week of my last day. Health insurance typically continues for a period, often through the end of the month you were laid off, but check your COBRA paperwork carefully when it arrives. State laws can definitely impact these timelines, especially for final pay.

Sorry to hear you're going through this. While I wasn't personally affected by this specific layoff, I've heard from colleagues who were that Cloudflare's policy was to extend benefits for a month or two post-termination. Final paychecks were generally issued on the next scheduled payday, with vacation payout also included. It's always best to confirm directly with HR or your manager for the most accurate information for your specific case.
