CME Group - Performance Review Season Nerves

So, performance review season is upon us at CME. Usually, it's just a standard process, but this year feels... different. There's a lot more emphasis on 'business needs' and 'efficiency' in the review discussions. Some managers are being really cagey about future roles and team structures. I've heard whispers about potential reorganizations down the line, but nothing concrete. It's making the review process feel extra high-stakes. Anyone else getting similar vibes from their managers or hearing similar chatter? Trying to stay positive and focus on my contributions, but it's tough when the future feels so uncertain. Just wondering if others are experiencing the same.

Yeah, definitely feeling the same pressure. My manager's been talking a lot about 'strategic alignment' and how individual performance needs to tie directly into broader company goals. It's making it hard to get a clear picture of where I stand or what the future holds beyond this review cycle. Hoping it's just standard year-end noise, but the emphasis on efficiency is definitely a bit unsettling.

Interesting to hear you're seeing this too. My review was heavy on 'impact' metrics and less on developmental goals. It felt less like a conversation about my growth and more like a justification for my current role's value. I'm trying not to overthink it, but the lack of transparency about team changes is making it a tense few weeks.
