Anyone hearing whispers about Q3 restructuring?

Is it just me, or has the vibe in the office shifted lately? I’ve been hearing a lot of vague chatter from middle management about 'optimizing operational efficiency' and 'realigning resources' for the upcoming quarter. We’ve seen other major CPG companies trimming headcount, and I’m wondering if CCEP is quietly gearing up for a similar play. My team lead has been dodging questions about headcount budget for next year, and there’s been a noticeable freeze on backfilling open roles in my department. It feels like we’re being squeezed to do more with less, which usually precedes a round of cuts. Has anyone else noticed the same pattern, or is this just standard end-of-year stress? I’d rather know now if I should be refreshing my resume instead of waiting for an awkward calendar invite from HR on a Friday morning.

The 'optimizing efficiency' talk is classic corporate speak for cuts. I’ve noticed the exact same freeze on backfilling roles in my department too. Usually, when they start using those buzzwords, it’s already been decided behind closed doors. Don’t wait for your manager to be upfront—start updating your resume now just in case. It’s always better to be prepared before the official announcement drops.

Honestly, the atmosphere at CCEP has definitely turned cold lately. The lack of clarity from leadership is the biggest red flag. If they’re dodging questions about headcount, it’s almost certain that a restructuring plan is moving forward. It’s frustrating because we’re all just left speculating while our workloads increase with the open positions. Keep your head down, keep networking, and watch for any sudden shifts in the budget meetings.
