Just saw the news about the latest cuts. Feels pretty brutal. I was on the [redacted] team, been here about 3 years. Got the email Wednesday morning, manager was as surprised as we were. Honestly, this place has been a rollercoaster. One minute you're building cool stuff, the next you're updating your LinkedIn. Severance seems standard from what I hear, 60 days pay + benefits. Anyone else affected from engineering? Trying to connect with people to see what the general vibe is and maybe share some war stories. This is rough, man.

This cycle of hiring and then massive cuts is getting old. It's hard to build loyalty when the rug can be pulled out from under you with so little warning. Sixty days severance isn't exactly generous for three years of work, either. Did anyone get a heads-up or was it truly out of the blue for most managers? Curious about the internal comms on this, feels like a lot of people are blindsided consistently.
