Coinbase cuts 700 more. What's next for the remaining team?

Just saw the news about Coinbase laying off another 700 people. This is getting brutal. I'm trying to stay positive about the company's future, but it's hard when you see these numbers. For those still there, how are things feeling? Is morale completely shot? Are people already looking for exits, or is there a sense of 'we'll ride this out'? I'm genuinely curious what the atmosphere is like on the ground. It feels like a constant state of uncertainty these days, not just at Coinbase but across the whole crypto space. Feels like just yesterday we were hiring like crazy, and now it's just endless cuts. Anyone have any insights into what the longer-term strategy might be? Are they trying to get leaner for a prolonged crypto winter, or is there something else going on?

It's tough to see these kinds of layoffs, especially when you're connected to the industry. For those still employed, I imagine the pressure must be immense. It's natural to question the stability and the future, and I wouldn't blame anyone for exploring other options. However, there's also a resilience that can emerge in tough times. Hopefully, the leadership can provide some clear direction and reassurance to the remaining staff.

The crypto market has always been volatile, and Coinbase is clearly feeling the pinch. Seeing significant layoffs like this makes you wonder about the long-term strategy. For the employees who remain, it must be a difficult environment. The constant uncertainty is draining. It's likely a mix of people looking for stability elsewhere and those who believe in the company's core mission and are willing to weather the storm.
