Coinbase's latest cuts: a sign of deeper issues?

Saw the news about another 700 people let go at Coinbase this week. That's a huge number, and it's starting to feel like a pattern. I was looking at them a while back, thought they were stable, but these repeated layoffs are making me rethink. Is it just market volatility, or is something fundamentally wrong with the business model? I'm seeing a lot of talk about AI reshaping work, which is interesting, but 700 people feels like more than just adapting to new tech. Anyone else have insights or connections within the company? Trying to understand if this is a temporary storm or if we're looking at a longer-term decline for a major player in the crypto space. It's worrying, especially for people who just lost their jobs.

Coinbase has had a rough go of it lately, haven't they? Layoffs like that really make you wonder about the long-term health of a company, especially one in such a volatile industry. It's hard to say if it's just a rough patch due to the wider economic climate affecting crypto, or if there are more specific operational challenges they're facing. It’s definitely concerning for anyone invested or considering it. I'd be curious to hear from people who work there or closely follow their financials for a clearer picture of what's really going on behind the scenes.
