Seeing the 700 layoffs at Coinbase hits hard. It's not just a number; it's people's careers and livelihoods. I've been following Coinbase for a while, and while they've had their ups and downs like everyone in crypto, these recurring layoffs are a serious red flag. The official reasoning always seems to be about 'restructuring' or 'efficiency,' but when you see this many cuts, you have to wonder about the core business. Are they pivoting? Are they just bleeding cash? I'm curious to hear from anyone still inside or who recently left. What's the morale like? What's the feeling about the direction the company is heading? Is this just a crypto winter thing, or is there a deeper issue at play that management isn't fully disclosing?

These layoffs are definitely concerning. It makes you question the long-term vision when a company repeatedly resorts to such drastic measures. While the crypto market is volatile, this level of churn suggests deeper issues than just market fluctuations. Perhaps they overestimated growth during the boom times, and now reality is setting in. It's hard to have confidence in a company that can't seem to stabilize its workforce.
