Colgate-Palmolive: Performance review season got me thinking...

So, performance review time is here again at CP, and it feels like the bar is higher than ever. My manager was talking about 'efficiency' and 'strategic alignment' non-stop. While I get that every company wants that, it feels like there's a new emphasis on demonstrating clear ROI for every single task, and frankly, some of the 'nice-to-haves' we used to work on are completely off the table. It's making me wonder about the long-term trajectory and if certain roles are even considered 'essential' moving forward. Has anyone else had similar conversations during their reviews? Curious to hear if this is a company-wide push or just my specific area getting the 'productivity' sermon.
