It’s finally starting to hit the public records. Just saw the WARN notice for the 102 people let go on January 15th out of the Missouri facility. I’ve been hearing whispers about the shift in strategy for months, but seeing the actual headcount reduction on paper is sobering. For those of us still in the building, the atmosphere has been incredibly tense. Does anyone know if there are follow-up rounds planned for Q2, or is this the extent of the restructuring for the first half of the year? It feels like we are constantly looking over our shoulders lately. If you were impacted, please share if the severance packages were at least decent. I was in that facility for years, and the writing has been on the wall since the leadership pivot last spring. Honestly, if you are still there, keep your resume updated. Management loves to frame these cuts as 'strategic optimizations,' but in my experience, they never stop at just one round. They tend to stagger these things to avoid a bigger PR headache, so I’d fully expect another wave of notifications before mid-year. Start networking now while you still have the advantage of being employed.

It is honestly heartbreaking to see the numbers finalized. That facility was the backbone of our local operations, and losing over a hundred colleagues in one go is a massive blow to the community. I know a few people who were caught in the January round, and the lack of transparency from corporate has been infuriating throughout this whole process. Everyone is asking about Q2, but leadership is keeping their cards close to the chest. Stay vigilant and take care of yourselves during this uncertainty.
