Anyone else seeing a slowdown in project approvals?

Hey everyone. Been with Constellation for a few years now, mostly in the R&D side for wine and spirits. Lately, it feels like getting new projects greenlit is like pulling teeth. Budgets seem tighter, and there's a lot more scrutiny on ROI. It's making it hard to plan long-term and frankly, a bit frustrating. I've heard whispers about 'optimizing resources' and 'strategic realignment,' which always makes me nervous. Not sure if it's just the usual end-of-year budget crunch or if something bigger is brewing. Anyone in other departments noticing similar slowdowns or increased pressure on financial justification? Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or specific to my division. Curious to hear what others are experiencing. Stay safe out there.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed the same trend over here in the marketing department. It feels like every single expense, no matter how small, needs multiple layers of approval. The emphasis on immediate ROI is pretty intense, and it's tough to get buy-in for initiatives that have a longer lead time but could really pay off down the road. The 'strategic realignment' talk is definitely circulating here too, and it's creating a fair amount of uncertainty about future roles and projects. Hopefully, it's just a temporary phase and things will loosen up soon.
