I've noticed something similar, though maybe not quite as intensely. My sense is that many companies in the consumer goods space, especially those with significant beverage portfolios, are navigating some shifts. It could be a seasonal slowdown, a restructuring internally, or just a strategic pause to assess market conditions before bringing on new talent. I wouldn't necessarily panic just yet, but it's definitely worth keeping your ear to the ground.
That does sound a bit concerning. The vagueness from the recruiter is a classic sign that they might be in a hiring freeze or at least a very cautious phase. It's possible they're consolidating roles, waiting for Q3/Q4 budget approvals, or perhaps preparing for a major acquisition/divestiture. Keep checking, but also consider broadening your search slightly in the meantime. Good luck!
