CoStar - Anyone else feeling the chill?

Hey all, been seeing a lot of chatter around the general tech market, and honestly, it's got me a little antsy. I'm at CoStar and things *seem* okay on the surface, but I've noticed a few things. Budgets feel tighter this quarter, some projects seem to be on ice longer than usual, and there's a general sense of 'let's be cautious' among management. Has anyone else picked up on similar vibes? Wondering if it's just my department or a broader trend. The company's usually pretty stable, which is why it's even more on my radar. Trying not to panic, but the quiet can be deafening sometimes. Anyone heard any whispers or seen any official/unofficial signals? Curious to hear what others are experiencing or if I'm just overthinking things.

I'm at CoStar too and can confirm that feeling. We've definitely seen a shift in how approvals are being handled, and there's a lot more scrutiny on any new expenditures. It feels like a deliberate tightening of the belt, even if official communication downplays it. It's definitely noticeable, especially compared to the last couple of years where spending was more open. Hoping it's just a seasonal thing or a response to broader economic uncertainty, but it's hard not to feel a bit of unease.

Interesting to hear you say that. I'm in a different division at CoStar, but I've also observed a more cautious approach from leadership. Project timelines are being stretched, and there's a definite emphasis on efficiency and ROI for everything. While the company has always been about smart business, this feels like a step up in conservatism. I've chalked it up to market fluctuations and a need to be extra strategic, but your post makes me wonder if it's more systemic across the board. Good to know I'm not alone in noticing.
