Anyone else at CoStar feeling the heat lately? The vibe in my team has been...tense. Lots of hushed conversations, people looking over their shoulders. I haven't heard any direct rumors about layoffs, but the general atmosphere is definitely one of uncertainty. It feels like management is tightening the screws, maybe looking for efficiency gains, and I'm just wondering if that's code for something bigger down the line. Metrics seem to be getting more scrutinized, and there's a lot of emphasis on 'driving results' which, while expected, feels more intense than usual. Just curious if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a department that's getting the spotlight. Trying not to spiral, but it's hard when the daily buzz is so...off. Anyone else picking up on this?

Yeah, I've definitely picked up on that shift too. It's more than just 'busy season' jitters. There's a palpable sense of unease, like we're all waiting for the other shoe to drop. The increased focus on metrics and 'efficiency' does feel like a precursor to something. Hoping it's just a temporary adjustment period, but it's hard to shake the feeling that significant changes might be on the horizon.

The tension is definitely there. It's like the air has gotten thicker lately, and people are walking on eggshells. I've noticed the same intensified scrutiny on numbers and a lot more 'synergy' talk in meetings. While no one's outright saying layoffs, the atmosphere breeds speculation.
