CoStar - Performance reviews and potential impacts?

So performance reviews just wrapped up for a lot of us at CoStar. Usually, it's a pretty straightforward process, but this year felt a bit different. The feedback seemed more focused on efficiency and 'doing more with less.' There was a lot of talk about optimizing resources. While I understand the business context, it's making me a little nervous. Coupled with the general market uncertainty and the lack of any clear communication about the company's direction regarding headcount, it's hard not to wonder what this means long-term. Has anyone received feedback that felt like a prelude to something more serious? Or has anyone been through this type of review cycle before at CoStar and can offer some insight into whether it historically leads to anything significant? Just looking for some shared experiences or perspectives. Trying to stay optimistic but also be prepared.

It's definitely understandable why you'd feel uneasy after those reviews. The emphasis on efficiency and 'doing more with less' can be a real gut punch, especially when it's paired with a lack of clear communication about the company's future. That kind of uncertainty breeds anxiety, and it's completely valid to be concerned about potential impacts on headcount. Hopefully, management will provide more transparency soon to ease some of those worries. Keeping an eye on market trends is smart, but internal clarity is key for morale right now.
