CoStar - Performance Reviews & Expectations

So, performance review season is rolling around again at CoStar, and honestly, the bar seems higher than ever. The feedback I'm getting is all about 'driving more value' and 'exceeding expectations,' which is fine, but the context feels different this year. Are the expectations realistic given the current market? Is anyone else finding it harder to hit those aggressive targets? I'm putting in the hours and delivering, but the constant pressure to do *more* without necessarily seeing proportional increases in resources or stability is starting to wear thin. Just wondering if this is a common sentiment across the company or if it's just my team's specific situation. Hoping to get a sense of the broader employee experience right now.

It's definitely a common sentiment across many sales-driven environments, not just CoStar. The pressure to constantly one-up previous performance is relentless, especially when market conditions aren't always cooperating. Sometimes it feels like the metrics themselves are designed to be unachievable, leading to that feeling of running on a treadmill. Focusing on controllable activities and documenting your efforts is key, even if the broader targets feel out of reach.
