Anyone else feeling nervous about potential restructuring?

Been with Costco for 7 years now, started as a cashier and worked my way up to assistant manager in the tire center. Usually things are pretty stable here, but I've been hearing whispers about some restructuring at the regional level. Our store manager has been acting weird, super stressed, and holding a lot of closed-door meetings with the district manager. I know retail is always a bit unpredictable, but this feels different. Anyone else getting a similar vibe in their warehouse or department? I'm not sure what I'd do if I lost my job, especially with the way things are right now. Trying not to panic, but it's hard.

I've been with Costco for over a decade and seen these 'restructurings' come and go. Usually, it's just shuffling the deck chairs. They might cut some middle management or merge a couple of departments, but I doubt they'd do anything drastic that would impact the frontline workers too much. Focus on doing your job well and being a valuable asset. That's the best job security you can have in any retail environment.

Yeah, our store manager has also been acting strange. I wouldn't put too much stock in rumors until something official is announced. Remember that time everyone was convinced they were getting rid of the food court churros? Turned out to be nothing. But if you're really worried, update your resume and keep an eye out for openings at other warehouses. Better to be prepared than caught off guard.
