Costco employee benefits vs. the grind - pros and cons?

Just trying to get a sense of the overall employee experience at Costco, beyond just the pay. I know the benefits package is generally considered decent compared to other retail giants. What's the reality though? Are the healthcare and retirement plans really as good as they say, and do they make up for the physically demanding work, the occasional crazy rushes, and the pressure to hit sales targets? I'm weighing my options long-term and trying to figure out if the stability and benefits outweigh the less glamorous aspects of the job. Anyone care to share their honest take on the benefits package and how it stacks up against the daily grind?

Costco's benefits are definitely a major draw. The healthcare is solid, and their 401k match is surprisingly generous. I've seen people stick around for years because of that stability. However, don't underestimate the physical toll. It's a lot of standing, lifting, and dealing with crowds, especially during holidays. If you can handle the demands, the benefits are a real plus for the long haul. Just be prepared for the hustle required to earn them.
