Costco hourly pay vs. other retailers - worth it?

Hey everyone, Thinking about applying for a warehouse position at Costco. I've heard they pay pretty well compared to other places like Walmart or Target, which is a big plus. The benefits are also supposed to be decent. Does anyone here have experience with their starting pay and how quickly you can move up or get raises? I'm trying to get a realistic picture of the financial side of things. Is the pay really as good as people say, or is it just slightly better with a lot more work? Trying to decide if it's worth putting in the effort to apply. Thanks for any insights!

I worked at Costco for a few years and the pay is definitely a step up from most other retail. Starting pay might not seem astronomical, but the raises come fairly regularly with good performance and tenure. The benefits package was also top-notch, which made a huge difference. The work is physical, no doubt, but the compensation and job security felt worth the effort compared to other places I've worked.
