Costco management style - any horror stories or success stories?

Been working at Costco for a bit now and wondering what others' experiences have been with management. I've seen a few different styles, some good, some... less so. Is it generally a company where managers are hands-on and visible, or are they more removed? Do they seem to care about employee well-being and development, or is it all about hitting targets? Had a situation recently where a new supervisor seemed completely out of their depth and it made things really difficult for the team. Curious if this is a common thing or if I just landed in a tough department. Any tips on how to navigate different management personalities within Costco would be appreciated. Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide trend or just a localized issue. Hoping to hear from people who've been around a while.

My experience has been pretty positive overall. My direct supervisor is almost always on the floor, checking in with everyone, and genuinely seems to care about how we're doing. They've been really supportive of me taking on new responsibilities and have even suggested training opportunities. Of course, there's pressure to meet sales goals, but it doesn't feel like it's at the expense of employee morale. The few times I've dealt with higher-level management, they've been professional and approachable too. It seems like they value the people working the warehouse floor.
