Costco: Recent changes in employee benefits?

Hey everyone, been with Costco for a few years now, mostly at the warehouse level. I've been hearing some whispers and seeing some minor tweaks to how things are done lately, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed similar things, especially regarding benefits or perks? Things like tuition reimbursement, the 401k match, or even just the general health insurance. Nothing major, obviously, and I'm not saying anything is bad, but there's a definite 'feeling' of a shift. Maybe it's just my store or department, but I wanted to put it out there to see if it's a broader trend. Is anyone else seeing changes to things like paid time off accrual, or maybe different tiers in health coverage? Just trying to get a pulse on what's happening across the company from a benefits perspective. Curious to hear your experiences.

I haven't personally seen any major shifts, but I did notice a slight change in how the tuition reimbursement paperwork is processed last quarter. It feels like they're streamlining things, which could be good or bad depending on your perspective. My direct supervisor mentioned they're focusing on more internal promotions lately, which might explain some of the minor adjustments to educational support. Keep an eye on the official internal memos – they usually announce benefit changes there first.

Interesting you bring this up. I've been with Costco for almost a decade, and while there haven't been any earth-shattering benefit cuts, I do sense a more conservative approach to perks. The 401k match has been steady, thankfully, but I've heard from a few long-term employees that some of the less-advertised perks, like certain discounts on services, have been scaled back a bit. It's probably just a way to manage costs, but it's definitely noticeable if you're used to the old way.
